HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT OF SINUSITIS
Homoeopathy plays an effective role in treatment of sinusitis. Sinusitis is inlammation of sinuses(cavities) which get mucus filled due to allergic reaction to allergens such as dust, pollens, chemicals or due to nasal growth (polyp) or due to infections (bacterial / viral). Sinusitis may be acute, sub-acute or chronic .
Symptoms:
1) Frontal headache
2) facial tenderness
3) cough / cold of long duration
4) sneezing
5)nasal catarrh
6)fever
7) cloudy offensive discharges
8) heaviness of eyes
9) eyes itchy & watery
10) pain in ear or teeth

1) HYDRASTIS CANADENSIS
--SINUSITIS (Kali-bi, Lyc, Merc, Sil).
- Thick, tenacious discharge from posteriar nares.
Child is aroused suddenly from sleep by post-nasal dropping.
- Obstructed. Inclination to constantly blow the nose (Stict).
2) KALIUM BICHROMIUM
Chronic coryza. SINUSITIS.
- THICK, ROPY/STRINGY, ELASTIC, YELLOW DISCHARGE.
- PRESSIVE OR BURNING PAIN AT ROOT OF NOSE (Stict, Kali-i).
- Hard, dry crusts, bleeding when detached. Elastic plugs.
- Post-nasal discharge (Cor-r). , Polyps (Calc, Sang, Teucr).
- Nasal voice. Pressing frontal pain or neuralgia from suppressed coryza.
3) LYCOPODIUM
SINUSITIS, agg. right side.
- OBSTRUCTION agg. at night. Snuffles of infants (Nux-v, Samb).
- Fan-like motion of nostrils in respiratory complaints (Ant-t).
- Food and drinks come through nose on swallowing (Arum-t, Lac-c, Lach).
4) SILICEA
SINUSITIS (Kali-bi, Lyc, Merc).
- Chronic coryza with dry obstruction.
Frontal headache ; sinus congestion with facial pain.
5) MERCURIUS SOLUBILIS
Chronic coryza with offensive, greenish discharge.
- Sneezing amel. lying.

6) THUJA
Sinusitis.
- Dryness of nose. Post-nasal drip.
- Nose running during stool.

7) MEDORRHINUM
Chronic rhinitis with thick mucus.
- Catarrh. Sinusitis.
- Post-nasal discharge or obstruction.
- Snuffles of children (Lyc, Nux-v, Samb).
- Intense itching internally of tip; rubs all the time.
