Homoeopathic medicines have been proven effective in treating and curing migraine pains.

A migraine is a primary headache disorder characterized by recurrent headaches that are moderate to severe.Typically, the headaches affect one half of the head, are pulsating in nature, and last from two to 72 hours. Associated symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light, sound, or smell, eye pain , severe pain in head known as Pounding headache.

Migraines are believed to be due to a mixture of environmental and genetic factors. A number of psychological conditions are associated, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder , as biological events or triggers.

Migraines can be triggered by many factors, for example ,Hormonal change,stress, Strong stimuli like loud noise, Certain foods.

 PHASES OF MIGRAINE:

• The prodrome, which occurs hours or days before the headache
• The aura, which immediately precedes the headache
• The pain phase, also known as headache phase
• The postdrome, the effects experienced following the end of a migraine attack

HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT :

Few indicated remedies are : 

1) BELLADONA 

Pain:  PULSATING, throbbing, hammering 

MADDENING (Gels) 

cold feet during headache 

agg. RIGHT SIDE 

agg. LIGHT, NOISE, JAR, SUN, MOTION, bending forward 

amel. cold applications, dark room, pressure, sitting 

after cutting hair; due to hormonal changes. 

- Pain as if head bursts open in hypertension. 

- Sinusitis: sensation of heaviness  

agg. slight touch, stooping; amel. hard pressure. 

2) GLONOINUM

 CONGESTIVE, PULSATING HEADACHE (Bell, Lach, Meli, Puls). 

agg. SUN, heat, wine, during menses, jar, tight collars. 

amel. Uncovering, pressure, lying in dark.  

Increases and decreases with the sun, even without exposure. 

Instead of menses. 

- Sensation as if brain is expanding, skull is too small. 

3) SPIGELIA

 PAIN: LEFT SIDE. INVOLVING LEFT EYE (Sep, Thuj).  

Sometimes ext. backwards into brain, or from occiput ext. above left eye. 

Stitching.  

agg. Stooping, noise, making a false step, motion, touch, jar, smoke, open air.  

amel. lying head high, while washing head with cold water, but worse afterwards. 

Periodical. 

- Painful tenderness of scalp when touched. 

4) BRYONIA ALBA

 Pain: starts over LEFT eye,  

extends to occiput and whole head, 

agg. moving eyes,  

agg. light (= motion of iris), 

agg. jar, cough, touch,  

agg. ironing (= motion + heat),  

agg. when constipated, 

amel. pressure, holding head, closing eyes. 

- Meningitis. 

5) GELSEMIUM

- OCCIPITAL PAIN EXTENDING UPWARDS (Sil).  

- Headache amel. urinating (Fl-ac), lying head high;  

agg. wine, 10 a.m.  

- DULL, HEAVY with heaviness of eyelids. Can hardly lift head. 

- Headache with muscular soreness of neck and shoulders. 

6) IRIS VERSICOLOR

PAIN ABOVE RIGHT EYE; RIGHT TEMPLE.  

With nausea, vomiting bile (Chel,Ip,Sang), which does not amel.. 

Alternating sides (Lac-c). 

Periodical, every week. 

amel. Gentle motion. 

7) NATRUM MUR

 HEADACHE, "like little hammers beating". headache due to eyestrain and attack during menses

agg. 10:00 A.M.  (TO 3 P.M. ),  

GRIEF, SUN, on waking,  sunrise to sunset headache

light, noise, reading, menses,  

amel. Lying dark and quiet room, perspiration,

Homoeopathy plays an effective role in treatment of sinusitis. Sinusitis is inlammation of sinuses(cavities) which get mucus filled due to allergic reaction to allergens such as dust, pollens, chemicals or due to nasal growth (polyp) or due to infections (bacterial / viral). HOMOEOPATHIC TREATMENT FOR HEEL PAIN

 Heel pain is most often caused by plantar fasciitis, a condition that is sometimes also called heel spur syndrome when a spur is present. Heel pain may also be due to other causes, such as a stress fracture, tendonitis, arthritis, injury/trauma, nerve irritation etc.

1) Plantar fasciitis, or inflammation of the plantar fascia: The plantar fascia is a strong bowstring-like ligament that runs from the calcaneum (heel bone) to the tip of the foot. Pain on moving or taking few steps.

Heel spur : pointed bony outgrowth of the bone of heel (calcaneus bone).

pain in walking and standing.

2) Achilles tendinosis: This is also known as degenerative tendinopathy, tendonitis, tendinosis, and tendinopathy. It is a chronic condition associated with the progressive degeneration of the Achilles tendon.

3) Gout, when levels of uric acid in the blood rise until urate crystals start to build up around the joints, causing inflammation and severe pain.

4) Rheumatoid arthritis is a progressive and disabling auto-immune condition that causes inflammation and pain in the joints, stiffness, inflammation & deformity.

5) Tarsal tunnel syndrome: A large nerve in the back of the foot becomes pinched or entrapped (compressed). This is a type of compression neuropathy that can occur either in the ankle or foot.

6)Chronic inflammation of the heel pad: This is caused either by the heel pad becoming too thin, or through heavy footsteps.

7) Heel bursitis: Inflammation can occur at the back of the heel, in the bursa, a fibrous sac full of fluid. It can result from landing awkwardly or hard on the heels or from pressure from footwear.    Haglund's deformity is bony enlargement on back of heel. The soft tissue near achilles tendon becomes irritated when bony enlargement rubs against shoes. it leads to painful bursitis.

ADVICE:

Calf stretches can help prevent or treat heel pain.

Rest: Avoid running or standing for long periods, walking on hard surfaces, and any activities that may stress the heels.

Ice: Place an ice-pack wrapped in cloth on the affected area for about 15 minutes, but not directly onto the skin.

Footwear: Shoes that fit well and provide good support are crucial, especially for athletes.

Foot supports: Wedges and heel cups can help relieve symptoms.

·         Aranea diadema & calcarea fluor - heel pain from spurs.

·         Rhus Tox. – Pain aggravated by first movement, damp weather and better by continuous motion. plantar fascitis, R.A. , achilles tendonitis(ruta)

·         Guaiacum. – Gouty abscesses of joints, pain relieved by cold bath and cold application.

·         Calcaria Carb. – Arthritic swelling, heel pain especially in fleshy people which is worse by cold.

·         Benzoic acid – Gouty concretions of joints, heel pain due to abnormal deposition of uric acid.

·         Hypericum. – Remarkable remedy for rheumatoid arthritis has outstanding action over nerve pain.

·         Arnica. – Heel pain especially after an injury with sore and bruised feeling.

·         Colchicum  - heel pain from gout. swelling and acute pain << touch
