Back Pain

Back pain is pain in any region of the back.

 It is divided into :

• Neck Pain (cervical)
• Middle Back Pain (thoracic)
• Lower Back Pain(lumbar) or coccydynia (tailbone or sacral pain) based on the segment affected.
• The lumbar area is the most common area for pain.

Homoeopathic Remedies :

1) AESCULUS HIPPOCASTANUM (aesc.)

- Severe PAIN  (lumbago, sciatica, rheumatic)

in LUMBO-SACRAL, SACRAL AND SACRO-ILIAC region, 

ext. to hips.

agg. Rising from seat, motion, stooping, walking.

2) BERBERIS VULGARIS (berb.)

- Pain/lumbago: radiating, around abdomen,

sciatic-like, ext. downward, into spermatic cord.

agg. Lying, sitting, rising from sitting.

With stiffness and prostration.

3) BRYONIA ALBA

-painful stiffness in nape of neck.

stitches and stiffness in small of back.

agg . any motion, morning, touch, warmth

amel. lying on painful side, pressure, cold  things

4) CALCAREA CARBONICA (calc.)

WEAKNESS of back. Curvature of spine.

- Lumbago, sciatica. Pain agg. lifting, exertion.

- PERSPIRATION CERVICAL REGION AT NIGHT DURING SLEEP.

- Swelling of cervical glands.

5) EUPATORIUM PERFOLIATUM (eup-per.)

- Pain as from a bruise and weakness in back.

agg. Before and during chill, motion.

- Chill felt first in back (Gels).

6) KALIUM CARBONICUM (kali-c.)

 -Weakness. Lumbago, sciatica.

-Pain agg. menses, labor, sitting erect, walking, amel. hard pressure. Must sit to turn over in bed (Nux-v).

7)  NUX VOMICA (nux-v.)

- Pain, must sit up to turn over in bed (Kali-c, Kali-p); agg. fever, urging for stool.

- Opisthotonos.

8) PHOSPHORUS (phos.)

- Sensation of heat between the scapulae.

- Burning pain extending up the spine to between the scapulae.

9) PULSATILLA

- PAIN AND STIFFNESS , Shooting pain in nape of neck and back , between shoulders; in sacrum after sitting

agg. Overlifting, rest, beginning to move, cold wet weather.

amel. Motion, heat, hard pressure, massage.

- STIFFNESS OF THE NECK, agg. DRAFT (Calc-p, Cimic), cold, wet weather. 

Needs to stretch and move. Massage neck constantly. Muscles bound up in neck.

10)  RHUS TOXICODENDRON (rhus-t.)

- PAIN AND STIFFNESS

agg. Overlifting, rest, beginning to move, cold wet weather.

Common Cold

Common Cold: Not so common when you have homoeopathy for your aid.

• The common cold is an upper respiratory tract infection caused by different viruses.
• The common cold is transmitted by infected airborne droplets or by direct contact with infected secretions.

Symptoms of common cold :

throat.-Red, dry, constricted, numb, prickling, burning,

stinging. Tonsils swollen and dry.

2)ARSENIC ALBUM

   Thin, watery, excoriating discharge. Nose feels stopped up. Sneezing without

relief. Hay-fever and coryza; worse in  COLD air; better indoors.

                                    Periodical burning pains, with restlessness; with cold skin
                                          Headaches relieves by cold, other symptoms worse.
                                 Throat : Swollen, oedematous, constricted, burning, unable
                                                                         to swallow.
